How Can sinus Drainage And Breathlessness Be Treated?
Hello... my questions is recently I ve noticed I m having sinus drainage on my left side only and a couple of times there was blood and mucus that I spit out... and I noticed this affects my breath. I ve been to the dentist and there wasn t a problem from that end. Do you have any ideas and would I need family dr or e.n.t dr to address?
See dear the blood is due to minor bleeding from the irritated lining of the sinuses and nose, and usually appears as red to dark brown streaks in the nasal mucus. Bad smell, pain in upper teeth, sore throat are common symptoms of sinusitis for which you need not to consult.
If you are having high grade fever or frank bloody discharge (then it can be because of non- cancerous nasal polyp or due to a foreign body lodged in the nose ) then you need to consult with the ENT specialist.
Good Luck
